Guarantee you won't be calling it anything diminutive if you see it on a kill. But he is sooo smart and loving, Good luck with your new bird. He looks cute. I don't use a traditional leash. I use a Sampo Coastlock #8 swivel, with a trigger snap to clip to the jesses which are pulled para cord jesses with a small (1/4") loop at the end. I also re-enforce the trigger snap with an elastic hair tie to make sure it is more secure. For fastening to the leash to the ring on the perch. I replace both annually as a precaution. If you have a bird that chews equipment. I use NOBITE nail polish on the equipment. Works to reduce that picking problem. I can send you photos if you wish (or look at my blog www.internationalfalconryacademy.blogspot.com) to see the kestrel version of the equipment.Karen Carrollhttps://www.birdsotprey.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8732486.post-45488010155393944812010-08-26T16:54:06.066-07:002010-08-26T16:54:06.066-07:00They do-- maybe some maneuverability thing? They do-- maybe some maneuverability thing?Steve Bodiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14434597061701369867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8732486.post-59015978579131900282010-08-26T16:44:50.393-07:002010-08-26T16:44:50.393-07:00Alulae seem really big.Alulae seem really big.Neutrino Cannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11975378867727506317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8732486.post-77071812390345132382010-08-25T18:06:18.877-07:002010-08-25T18:06:18.877-07:00simply gorgeoussimply gorgeousStephen Olnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17124649154639876847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8732486.post-31983950865737692692010-08-25T15:43:59.737-07:002010-08-25T15:43:59.737-07:00The feet AND parrot strength beak are decidedly un...The feet AND parrot strength beak are decidedly unlike a kestrel's!Steve Bodiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14434597061701369867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8732486.post-91957257336594836182010-08-25T11:48:53.402-07:002010-08-25T11:48:53.402-07:00Sswweeeett! I think you'll be quite pleasantly impressed by just how clever they are.... but I'll also warn that one of them figured out how to undo 5 falconer's knots made of lightweight bungie within a matter of hours. There's a downside to a bird that smart, too:)JThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18019916987115972897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8732486.post-91930827877078367542010-08-24T14:40:03.808-07:002010-08-24T14:40:03.808-07:00"Shotgun range falcon huh?
