That Japanese blog of bio- art has a spread on sperm whales that is comprehensible even if you have no Japanese.

Another gem from Engrish Funny. And what's with the skull on a spring?

Unlike green Almaty, Ulaan Bataar has only one green space, the Childrens' Park. They are planning to develop the site. If you have fond memories of it (or even if not) you can write them, explained here. HT Andrew Campbell at The Regal Vizsla.

The whale zapping the fish and squid with sonar would be a great t-shirt.

The blog is even better if you read Japanese! I didn't read the whole thing but at the beginning it talks about the white "brain oil". The author says that's how the whale got it's silly (not really "silly" but I can't think of a better translation right now...) English name "Sperm" whale. He goes on to say, "It's said that the brain oil in one sperm whale can weigh as much as an elephants head. Just imagine that much sperm..." Rough translation but you get the picture. :-P
