Made about the first novel(of course) "A Princess Of Mars"--which title the PR peeps said would NEVER work, so they just called it simply "John Carter"--I HIGHLY recommend it--quite a visual spectacle on the big screen!!! And by gosh, they really actually followed Burrough's original story and characters very well! My favorites were always the giant, green, multi-limbed, tusked THARKS, as well as their beasts, the doglike Calots, and the thoats. They couldn't have portrayed them better than they did in this movie! And they really did Woola, the calot, wonderfully!A.
