I'm sure it can't be any more than a few months ago I brought Ellie home from the hospital, cradled in the crook of my left arm and wrapped in a Pendleton blanket against the blizzard, and yet she doesn't seem to fit in my left arm anymore. Instead, I have this willowy young woman living in my house, with the same smile I remember on baby Ellie, and toddler Ellie, and little-girl Ellie. And it sometimes seems all of a sudden.
