I confess..

.. that I virtually NEVER watch the State of the Union Address. Howard Veit rather snarkily sums up why:

"...are you kidding? Not only does it not make any difference what was said, it doesn't make any difference period. I fell asleep watching an old movie. The Iraq War is still going; Iran is still going nuclear, ditto North Korea; everybody with an SUV will continue driving their kids three miles to school; the criminals will continue criminaling; and the rest of us will continue to keep as much income from the government as possible. Strictly for those of you who are totally into politics and who have your minds already made up about everything."
