Reader and borzoi breeder Rey McGehee finds some attributed wisdom from H$U$ prez Wayne Pacelle.
"The life of an ant and the life of my child should be accorded equal respect."
-- Wayne Pacelle, Associated Press, Jan. 15, 1989
And again, lest you think he spoke without thinking of the implications:
The life of an ant and that of my child should be granted equal consideration."
-- Wayne Pacelle, in Inhumane Society, 1990
Not my child. Not my DOG.

Amen to The Editors' comment. It strikes me that, ironically, Pacelle, et al, in their quest to end suffering and death must also end pleasure and life. That's the only way to do it.
Hey! That kind of makes him the anti-Christ, if you at it that way.
There's a big fungus in the Upper Peninsula, (largest living organism on the planet, if I'm not mistaken), that's probably sleeping better at night knowing Wayne's on guard.
Thanks, "Editors"-- I am touched.
Not surprisingly, I believe that Pacelle has no children of his own. I don't know about the possibility of an ant farm or two.
No, he probably thinks that would be slavery.
