For a project-- does anyone know where I can find a copy of the 1971 made- for- TV movie (the second Movie- of- the- Week ever!) "Harpy", starring Hugh O'Brian, Elizabeth Ashley, and a big serious falconry- trained Harpy eagle?
I believe the bird was trained by Jim Fowler, protege of Marlin Perkins. Lots of strange connections there I may lay out someday.
I don't think it's on a commercial tape, and I know it's not on DVD.

Contact the TV network? Fan clubs for the actors?
imdb.com lists Lee Sollenberger as the (uncredited) animal trainer. He appears to be contactable (is that a word?) through the "Birding in BC" message board (http://birding.bc.ca/community/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=298&). Try him?

Thanks all-- Ill check it out. I keep wondering if anyone HAS it. Matt says he rented a tape once.
I found an allmovie.com video number, V 126078, but not sure where to go beyond that. That tells us it is.. or was.. on video at some point. I remember reading this short story in the 60's when I was in the Navy.. it was in a Playboy Press short story collection!
THAT might be worth finding too! Remember who wrote it?
According to the production credits, T.K. Brown III..

I'm sure it was in something called Playboy's Bedside Reader. Hey! I was a young, single sailor!wuwy
