"Stuff is eaten by dogs, broken by family and friends, sanded down by the wind, frozen by the mountains, lost by the prairie, burnt off by the sun, washed away by the rain. So you are left with dogs, family, friends, sun, rain, wind, prairie and mountains. What more do you want?"

Neanderthals Had Red Hair
Or at least some of them did. Another product of on-going research on the Neanderthal genome.
Kurten's Neanderthals were fair and his Cro- Magnons dark- skinned, but I don't recall red hair (his saber- tooths were black too). I have four Kurten titles but not that one.

I resemble that remark!
Hehe! It was just the good looking Neanderthals that had red hair, Rebecca!
I seem to recall red-haired Neanderthals in Bjorn Kurten's 1980 novel Dance of the Tiger.
Anyone got a copy?
