"Stuff is eaten by dogs, broken by family and friends, sanded down by the wind, frozen by the mountains, lost by the prairie, burnt off by the sun, washed away by the rain. So you are left with dogs, family, friends, sun, rain, wind, prairie and mountains. What more do you want?"

Border 2
Sign snapped by Jonathan Hanson S. of I8 in Arizona. (He lives off the grid S. of Tucson).
I don't know why people are clueless enough to put up things without attribution, but I suppose when the gov't puts up signs saying stay out of your own back yard, reason goes out the window. (And that ANY pic of such a sign was going to boom).
Now I want to see one from B A Refuge, where keeping out is mandatory rather than theoretically optional!
Reading about Native American history all my life, a common theme in the accounts(written by those with European ancestry, and part of the "conquering" culture) is that, alas the poor Indian, he HAD to be exterminated, imprisoned, "civilized", swept from the scene for the improvement of the land--you just couldn't have renegade Apaches roving the Southwest, for example, wreaking havoc at will. Yet when I see/read things like this--the crime and murder rate amongst ourselves, I have to wonder just how much of an "improvement" modern society is, in comparison?.......L.B.

Various commenters on various gun blogs were talking a while ago about trolling for pirates off the East African coast.
It seems to me as though they could just as easily hunt the most dangerous game at home ...
I have a dark suspicion that Somali pirates are wimpy compared to some of these MS 13 types coming through, and that the commenters are blowhards.
Not to mention there are some Somalis crossing too! (& Afghans & God knows who else...)
That photo has gone viral already, minus Jonathan's name.

To be fair, other photographers besides Jonathan may have taken the same shot from the same angle (out the car window?).
And I think there was video on Fox News--I saw link somewhere--but I don't get cable TV.
