"Stuff is eaten by dogs, broken by family and friends, sanded down by the wind, frozen by the mountains, lost by the prairie, burnt off by the sun, washed away by the rain. So you are left with dogs, family, friends, sun, rain, wind, prairie and mountains. What more do you want?"

Two from the Commonplace Book
I can't die yet. There are many men I must kill first! -Yojimbo
On the door it says what to do to survive But we were not born to survive Only to live -W S Merwin, The River of Bees
For the record, I think the first at least is hilarious...

I keep a list. Not a Killing List, but a Smack the Shit Out of List. Every once in a while, I'll be thinking, "Oh yeah, that gets you on the list."
I'm a petty creature, the List makes me feel better.
Know the feeling..at this age...and I'd omit 'people' and insert 'quarry'.
