These pictures were all taken from the Seal Beach Pier on Sunday night. This tanker was anchored off San Pedro and unlike his fellows, had all his lights ablaze.
This is a shot of the docks, cranes and oil facilities at the port of Long Beach. If you look closely at the far right (click to embiggen) you can see the arch of lights over the Queen Mary.

An oil platform off the Orange County coast. Few people seem to realize that California is a large oil-producing state and fewer still know there are producing oil platforms up and down the coast.
