Riss Intent

Larissa like her mother is sure coyotes should be dealt with summarily. More heart than brains on this one-- they are too small, and likely to be ganged up on. I am always relieved when they come back after looking like this on the runout...

Interesting gait transition, Riss.

Much love,

have a wolfhound/airedale/pitt cross from a friend up in Illinois. came to me last year and just turned a year by. Would be a good go with dog for your girls. Has already proven his assets with my terriers. I'll check on the next ltter date for you if you wish. Mine is a perfect gentle 100 lb. gentleman around friends animal and human but can command attention from coyotes and ferral swine.
Thanks AP

AP, ten years ago I would have been strongly tempted, especially as the big lurcher Plummer is retired at nearly 15, but our own declining bodies and energy say "no" to most offers, especially as I have hope that we will get a Riss- Tavi pup next year, maybe the last considering the ages they go to and I am. Some of our males can take a coyote and Tavi, not 15 months yet, may get the size.

But stay in touch- there is always a niche for a good longdog in our inner circle!

Just-Another-Savage: I'd LOVE to see a photo of your wolfhound/airedale/pitt--sounds like a heckuva dog! I've fantasized about an Airedale lurcher for many years--they are apparently great bush dogs. Not that I'm in the market right now for another dog(sigh), since my limit at any one time is 10, and I'm one over, and getting ready to be two over in a matter of days!!.....
