"Stuff is eaten by dogs, broken by family and friends, sanded down by the wind, frozen by the mountains, lost by the prairie, burnt off by the sun, washed away by the rain. So you are left with dogs, family, friends, sun, rain, wind, prairie and mountains. What more do you want?"

The "Damn Chicken Song"
.. and one I first heard in I think 1967 in Cambridge. Tom Russell and Ian Tyson in Santa Fe April 17!

Ian and Sylvia were one of the best duos ever. Adding Emmy Lou just makes it that much better. Brings back great memories.
Great show at the Lensic, with Ian and Tom. And was wonderful meeting you, Steve Bodio, in the lobby afterwards. Have some of your books (yes, way up here in Alberta, Canada, though I had to order them from the US). I posted a pic on Tom's FB site, of the two of you. Meeting you was a true highlight, as in my humble opinion, you are one of the best nature writers ever.
Great show in Santa Fe with Ian and Tom. But a highlight was also meeting you, Steve Bodio, in the lobby. Even way up here in Alberta, Canada, I have your books, and in my opinion, you are one of the top nature writers. Posted a pic of you and Tom in the lobby, on Tom's FB site, if you are interested. Here's to blue skies and winged wonders.
Many thanks-- I am more than flattered to be singled out in that company.
I'll look at FB if I can get in without joining. If that doesn't work you could always email to me at "ebodio at gilanet dot com". I can probably find more books too...
Will put up a photo of T and me at the gallery next day. I look ten years older, I hope a trick of the light!

TR was in top form in Sisters. He closed with Gallo.
