"Stuff is eaten by dogs, broken by family and friends, sanded down by the wind, frozen by the mountains, lost by the prairie, burnt off by the sun, washed away by the rain. So you are left with dogs, family, friends, sun, rain, wind, prairie and mountains. What more do you want?"

great addition from the Norwegians to tom Russell's music. over a 100 years ago the Norwegians gave us southwesterners a gift beyond compare. the great ethnographer and xplorer carl lumholtz who rode horse and mule with a terrier dog on ground, all over mexico and s.w. u.s.a. he gave us 2 great writings, unknown mexico and new trails in mexico. we always look forward to tom here in the phoenix valley at the rhythm room on e. indian school road, however it would be a tight squeeze to get an orchestra on stage behind him there!

Wow. Tom told me he was pleased with the performances, but jeez — this is truly great.
