"Stuff is eaten by dogs, broken by family and friends, sanded down by the wind, frozen by the mountains, lost by the prairie, burnt off by the sun, washed away by the rain. So you are left with dogs, family, friends, sun, rain, wind, prairie and mountains. What more do you want?"

Nice! Is it NM bred, some friends have a litter right now.
First, a special Thanksgiving Blessing to you for your health and family! Looking forward to your new writings also! Next, if in your spare time you could send me contacts for any working Deerhound owners/breeders you recommend, I have been keeping my ear to the ground for some time and at the right time I plan on introducing one to my motley pack of hounds. I would be much obliged. Audwin
Audwin-- remind me of your email and I will send some contacts. Ours is "ebodio at gilanet dot com", written like that because addresses will not go in comments.
Dang, I've wanted my OWN Deerhound forever--I DON'T need to hear any of this! I LOVE this breed, but if I ever do get one, I WOULD want a pup begat from something like a Roo-killin' Deerhound from Australia!!!! I figured I'd just have to get a nice wire-haired "Staghound" or "Coyote Hound" or Lurcher with Deerhound genetics from out West somewhere, in trying to avoid inbred, often oversized conformation show lines(which I try to avoid no matter WHAT dog I'm getting!)--I'd love to communicate with any Deerhound breeder that really WORKS their hounds(other than just AKC-only lure- "coursing")--BUT NO TIME SOON!!!!! I'm still one dog over my self-imposed limit of 10--I need another dog about like a hole-in-the-head just now.....But I will LOVE seeing/hearing about them on this blog now and then!.....L.B.

No Paul it is from Arizona, the sire is a imported roo killing deerhound from Australia.
