Some years I have actually started on Opening day..
"Stuff is eaten by dogs, broken by family and friends, sanded down by the wind, frozen by the mountains, lost by the prairie, burnt off by the sun, washed away by the rain. So you are left with dogs, family, friends, sun, rain, wind, prairie and mountains. What more do you want?" Federico Calboli

All dogs in hot climates should have access to a horse trough or two! I have a couple for my dogs, and I don't even have a horse!.....L.B.
I don't have a horse and it's too hot here to climb mountains looking for grouse right now in SW Montana. On the plus side we had a super bamboo rod builders conclave here in Bozeman yesterday with attendees from all over the west. Tons of fun.
Our rail season opened yesterday and my Harris caught a couple in short, straight flights. Rails are not quails, as is obvious once you see them on the wing. :-)
