You have to wonder WHY such an obviously skilled artist chose such action for the center stage of this painting--unless of course he had some fond memories himself of time spent as a kid with a terrier and some rats! No doubt D. Brian Plummer would have liked to have this painting over his mantle(if he ever had a mantle....)....L.B.
