"Stuff is eaten by dogs, broken by family and friends, sanded down by the wind, frozen by the mountains, lost by the prairie, burnt off by the sun, washed away by the rain. So you are left with dogs, family, friends, sun, rain, wind, prairie and mountains. What more do you want?"

Mommie Deepest
Marine biologists have discovered that contrary to their earlier assumptions, some species of squid are actually careful and attentive mothers. Sorry, but I saw "mommie deepest" in the photo caption and had to use it.
What strikes me is how beautiful this creature is. I once saw a micro-movie of a human ovum approaching the beckoning end of the fallopian tube, and the feel was quite similar. The ovum had "veils" and the end of the tube looked like a carnation with petals. The pink color was similar. But this sea creatures looks pearled with her brood.
