Worse, if that seems possible, they may be doing the same to believers in Falun Gong and harvesting their organs.
Libby suggests that both may be as much demostrations of the omnipotence of the state as anything. Behave or else..

History has Libby's back on this one. Roger Grenier's "Difficulty of being a Dog" reports some of this and we because of how we live know it, it's in our daily walking talking breathing - but still when these headlines start, it's shocking and deeply disturbing, and invariably, it's dogs lost and who lose.
It's very sad stuff.
Consolation found only in the company we keep.
