"Stuff is eaten by dogs, broken by family and friends, sanded down by the wind, frozen by the mountains, lost by the prairie, burnt off by the sun, washed away by the rain. So you are left with dogs, family, friends, sun, rain, wind, prairie and mountains. What more do you want?"

Glimpse of the Future
Have Toyota Prius taxi-cabs made it to your town yet? This is the first one I've seen here. Actually, my previous general observation about taxis in this town has been what a high percentage here are made by Mercedes-Benz.

I've seen a few Prius taxis here in Lincoln, and the local paper ran an article a few days ago. Passengers apparently like the quiet ride, and are surprised at the leg room. The owner of the two cab companies featured in the article said he'd like to have a whole fleet of Priuses (there's an awkward plural for you -- maybe it should be Prii?) but can't afford to make a quarter-million dollar investment all at once.
