Bueno perro

I just received my first copies of the about-to-be-released bilingual version of my Brave Dogs, Gentle Dogs: How They Guard Sheep book. This was my first children's book, and is still my favorite, because it's some of my favorite subject matter. The Spanish translation was done by Aida E. Marcuse, and the new edition is being released in both hard cover and paperback. This new edition was just honored as a Junior Library Guild selection and is featured in their monthly magazine.

Congratulations Cat!

How will they distribute?

Thanks Matt - Good question. Our target is the school and public library market, but the books are available at big chains, Amazon, independents, etc., both nationally and some international sites as well. You'll never find my books in the front row in a mall bookstore, but you'll find them in the kid's section of the local library, and that is real fine with me.

Hi Steve,

I am a student at UC Santa Cruz teaching English this summer in Ulaanbaatar. I read Eagle Dreams before coming to Mongolia and loved it. As a long-time bird lover I have always been fascinated by the eagle hunters of Central Asia. I am planning a research project on the Kazakh hunters of Bayan-Olgii as well as the eagle hunters of Kyrgyzstan. I am travelling to Bayan-Olgii for two weeks in September and Kyrgyzstan next year, and was hoping I could ask for your help and advice. I couldn't find any contact information of yours, but if you could e-mail me at ddeennnnyy@gmail.com, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Dennis Keen
