Redtail & Rabbits
From around the same time as the photo below-- maybe 36 years ago (I had the hawk for six years)-- our biggest day, my biggest ever.
Those look a lot like our swamp rabbits. Seems like most places in the east have at least 2 kids of rabbit---one more cottontail'ey and a larger, lowland version. In GA we called them cane cuters; here they're swamp rabbits.
