Book Love

Back in May, our daughter Lauren, three year-old granddaughter Bella, and I were browsing in a Barnes & Noble bookstore one evening.  After a while, Bella came up to me, handed me a book, and said, "Grandpa, this book WANTS me!"

I replied, "I know EXACTLY how that feels."

And of course I bought the book.

I would have shore as heck said "NO!!!!" And then made up some tale about how the books in bookstores were obsessed with evil demons!(Hellyea--the demon of overpriced greedy bookstore moguls!) And then checked on Amazon(Amazon, Amazon, how I love thee, let me count the ways....) fer the same book at likely a fraction of the price, ordered it, and then given it to her telling her this was a special exorcised copy and was now safe......L.B.
