"Stuff is eaten by dogs, broken by family and friends, sanded down by the wind, frozen by the mountains, lost by the prairie, burnt off by the sun, washed away by the rain. So you are left with dogs, family, friends, sun, rain, wind, prairie and mountains. What more do you want?"

No Boletes
Our strange hot year and its half broken drought left us no boletes. Below, Bear Trap campground in the San Mateos this weekend, and (see tree for position) 2006.

Run this through your brain a dozen or two times to the tune sung by Eddie Cantor decades ago :)
Yes we have no boletes
We have no boletes today
We have string beans and onions
Cabbages and scallions
And all kinds of fruit, and say
We have an old fashioned tomato
A Long Island potato
But yes we have no boletes
We have no boletes today
