The fabulous Russian artist Vadim Gorbatov visited the US last fall under the auspices of the Raptor Education Foundation. He paid a visit to Steve and Libby in Magdalena and Steve posted on the visit and Vadim's art here and here and here.
People intrigued by the samples Steve provided may want to know that the Raptor Education Foundation is selling a selection of Gorbatov prints that are available here.
UPDATE
I didn't do a very good job with the last link. On the REF main page look at the link roll on the left side. Click on "Gallery" and then click on "Contemporary Art Gallery"

Vadim may illustrate my Gray's piece on Clovis Man's dogs this fall. And we are working on other things too (literally today-- I have been busy not dead!)He may provide for our translation of Notes of an East Siberian Hunter; I have sent more images to Gray's and to Russ Chatham. The first is likely-- we'll see on others. Publishers move like glaciers....
That would be wonderful if he could do something for the Gray's piece!
I thought the prints the REF is selling are reasonably priced.
Glad you got lots cooking!
Reid-Where on the REF site are the prints being sold? Perhaps I am just technologically challenged but I can't find them.
It seems to send me in circles-- Reid? Or you could hit "Contact us" in the site.
Sorry guys. On the REF main page look at the link roll on the left side. Click on "Gallery" and then click on "Contemporary Art Gallery"
